About the Role
Reporting to the HSE Coordinator, you'll play a hands-on role supporting the delivery of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality initiatives across a diverse range of civil construction projects throughout Perth. Working closely with Operational teams, you'll help build a proactive safety culture while gaining valuable exposure to investigations, auditing, Integrated Management Systems, training, compliance and continuous improvement.

No two days will be the same. One day you could be conducting site inspections and coaching operational teams in the field; the next, you'll be helping improve HSE systems, contributing to investigations or supporting new initiatives that make a real difference across the business.
As the HSE team expands, you'll work closely with both the HSE Coordinator and incoming Senior HSE Advisor, providing an outstanding platform to develop your skills and accelerate your career.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the delivery of HSE initiatives across multiple civil construction projects.
- Build positive relationships with supervisors, project teams and operational leaders.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits and site visits throughout Perth Metro.
- Assist with incident investigations and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Help maintain and improve HSE systems, procedures and compliance.
- Promote a positive safety culture through coaching and collaboration.
- Contribute ideas that support continuous improvement across the business.
- Grow your knowledge while working alongside an experienced and supportive HSE team.
About You
You'll thrive in this role if you're someone who enjoys building relationships, takes pride in improving workplace safety and wants to continue developing your career. As our ideal candidate, you'll be practical, approachable, and credible. You're not overly corporate, but you know what good safety looks like in the real world and can build trust across all levels of the business.
You'll also bring:
- At least 3 years' HSE experience, ideally within civil construction, construction or a similar industry
- Diploma or Degree in Work Health & Safety (or similar)
- Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- The ability to work independently while collaborating within a team
- A current driver's licence
